9 doors of 6 panels. interior wood made in our work shop in Syria by traditional masters , and the brass inlayed with silver is made in Egypt by skilled craftsman … the result is a master piece ! and I’m very proud of it .

And ‘voila ‘ the ‘chinoiserie’ top for the regency console .

Princess’s dining room

Custom design dining table in marble 8 heavy heavy heavy feet in marble , sophisticated curtains on the window to the indoor garden , French console , custom made cabinets in solid wood … well, I worked hard on that one , I suggested the red damask from day one ! but they changed it maybe 10 times for finally go back to first choice .
I kind of love it , my only regret is the floor marble white tassos! … it should be a warm cozy parquet . but here they absolutely don’t like wood on the floor , don’t know why .
Any way here it is and I’m pretty proud of it.

That little British piece of furniture has been hand draw by a Japanese client designer Mr Yoshiharu I just did the rendering for a better understanding of finishing and sizes presented to the final customer .

THE ONE DAY PROJECT

That apartment has been design in less than a day !Inspired by anything that was digested in that same day + with left over sofa frame available in the factory , some ready made design for furniture … and voila one week and some Ikea stuff latter , here mission accomplished and tenant can move in today .

My American dream alive .

After visiting high point in north Carolina to meet one of a the top designers group in Florida
Simmon and Saray Lauree and Julie tow absolutely adorable ladies and team who gave us a ride thru the enormous furniture city , they have been coming in that place for decades and this is the only way to filter the tremendous amount of goods available , a very interesting exhibition totally different than exhibitions in Europe I have to say ,

Than we head on to Florida Miami and around to meet other designers and join Lauree and Julie at their very impressive office and Show room

The theme there in palm beach ,south beach ,Jupiter ,and so on ,seams to be very Mediterranean Italian, they are completely obsessed with Toscany style even if some time it not so much European any more .never mind it’s the flair and the speech that matter, they live happily ever after in magnificent mentions surrounded by gorgeous nature, , they respect their environment and preserve nature .
Why Italian style became so much a reference here ,
I found the answer here ! this is the ultimate luxury the reference of wealth and abundance . if that guy had build a Swedish pavilion at that time I think Palm Beach would look like Stockholm . it is not exactly Italian more of an European salad but well done I have to admit ! it was build at the beginning of the century and for a century they keep fascinated by the style . well the furniture are for most of them originals antiques from Europe , they did not adopted the proportion cause by the confi-lyfe-style turn everything into massive huge piece of furniture , lots of electronique that pop up every where ,that’s funny how remote control addict they became , I’m wondering the logistique of having so many around the house .
Any way the place is realy stuning and I simply love it . and if a louis Philippe secretaire become a Venetians dresser …. What the hack! As long as it make people happy !

Since Europe is so minimalist ( wish I love …yes yes hard to believe ! ) her in the meddle east we still rooooyal-addict .

All roads lead to Rome

The city where starbucks means nothing ! because they have excellent 2 euro café served by stylish gentleman in a décor of museum with silk damask on the walls and original drawing of Delacroix travel book . Rome , where Mac Donald has to behave decently and hid it so vulgar and ugly colors … Rome ! A city where the garbage are beautiful, and where the ugly advertising are banished from your horizon, no place for visual pollution! That doesn’t mean they are not able to sell any product … in contrary !

Sandrine Saint Hilaire and Siamese named Garbage

Sandrine Saint Hilaire is one of my sweet heart dear friend since George Washington was elected , that’s make us very good looking for our age .
Sadrine is the magician of putting stuff together, she would match a garbage bag with washing machine and look smart and cozy . she ‘s the only one I know who can wear a 2 cent ring and make it look a million $ she has that talent as well with working with precious and countless materials, antiques and custom made furniture’s for exclusive villas and clients in Belgium France Spain Italy , writing for interior magazines, theatre décors , haute couture bag designs and so on … you name it ! she don’t even have a web site !

But most of all she’s the only one who see a dragon in the cloud at age of …. Wise woman. Because Sandrine is special she has this poesy and that down to hearth combination that makes her unique .

She was my inspiration, I became an interior designer because of her, she‘s such a good one !!
Detritus is her cat who came from a shelter … yes a real Siamese! Who else but Sandrine would find a better match ,,,
Ps: detritus mean garbage ;-)
