In the Red capital Beijing as well as in far up in the mountain in a very rural village , the color red is dominant , the simple Chinese city hall ,temple, gathering house of a little village in the Unan Province was a shrine dedicated to red , I took many pictures I was drown and fascinated by the "no decoration' but beautiful building I was in .

Made in China means ;fine taste , elegance , beauty , nothing show of or outrageously tacky and over done , I'm in love with the true Chinese identity architecture and interior , a balance between needs , believes ,incredible skills, patience , and over all a rich result even then you can visit a very poor village house beauty is always always there !

as long as the modern world did not reach the place it remain fascinatingly enchanting . China is and will always be a very important lesson of interior design and architecture for me the evidence of beauty and need combined

It is sad that the world cheap market spoiled China 's noble letters

I had numerous clients coming to me with a bunch of pictureS telling me "please" because they are polite , "do this !" because they do not trust by nature

Therefore the Middle East is often a caricature of western design in the worst case , a patchwork of dramatic details clash … in the best case the "imported" Designer deal with respectful Clients his own way "take it or live it" with a coherent result that LOOK GOOD !

When you go to a restaurant I doubt that you right away run into the kitchen and teach the chef what to do , to finally cook your own dish before his astonishing eyes .

Well home food is good ! gourmet food done by a professional is even better.

That is why you are coming to us , designers . exploring the internet jungle , finding gazillion sources , marathon in "professional only" exhibitions ,dealing with manufacturers on your own for "ONE" item does not make any sense . sit back and enjoy the cruise , you're not in a pirogue and have to row .

This attitude make the good designer run way but the imposterdesigners glue with a sticky "yes sir" to grab commissions in each one of your foot print .

A designer is an Artist , someone with another vision who use different spices, open your taste open you eyes ,your life to an other dimension , listen to him let him be your mirror the one that's makes you more beautiful and happy . as soon as you bridled him your expectations are ruin !!

Now if you need a secretary , a coordinator , a draftsman . get yourself a contractor .

About a month ago the Egyptian Community of Kuwait asked me to design a Logo that is representing them .
Today more then ever I m proud of my fellow Egyptians .
Some of my coworkers participated to the revolution back in Egypt and I've been worry for them . then when internet came back I received an email from my engineers saying : "His God protected him well ,and he might be the next president of Egypt . ha ha . ! so I might be the next interior designer to redecorate the presidential palaces , I do have some doubt about Moubarack taste !

So I'm not so friendly with those guys "mostly Italian !" how weird because Italy is ALL ABOUT FOOD AND DRINK , those engineers who obviously never boiled a pasta in their lives , coming from some kind of motor back ground , go back to your car design , your kitchen truly look good but truly sucks when it comes to use it !

I know it has been a loooooooog time since i did not give news . feel guilty : YES !

summary of the last 9 month ….

yes a new Baby is born again " Z DESIGN " my for ever company , I let Z.DESIGN sleep for 2 years , join DOMAIN , have fun building creating stuff , running collections and so on , but great projects that I was working on emerged again from the crises and VOILA back to work back to big projects , pure architecture , over sizes palaces ,interior design in LARGE Scales . this is what I always did and I'm happy to be back on track .

DOMAIN is in my heart , and still enjoying running around the factory form time to time ,for some orders , I'm a client now J . I will continue the blog under ZDESIGN soon . I'm soooo busy right now .

Dear All I haven't been posting much this days

We are renewing a showroom , create a new concept for Domain fabric Showroom , and DOMAIN sun city

we are opening an other "DOMAIN Factory" show room at the "Factory" with a new concept and a very creative new look make over ,you name it ! for our big Boat that is that industrial building that survive Iraq invasion , sand storm , hot summers , cold winters , it deserve a new pride ... a new life .

mooving around heavy machinery with everybody muscle even the big CEO , excepted me, i'm the girl here :-) . well it has bee hectic . and when the times come ...soon soon soon total new pics of our operation .

Crises is almost over and we re preparing for the big boom !

The Dewaniya mistakenly & commonly called Diwaniya, has existed in Kuwait since time immemorial. The term originally referred to the section of a bedouin tent where the menfolk and their visitors sat apart from the family. In the old City of Kuwait it was the reception area where a man received his business colleagues and male guests. Today the term refers both to a reception hall and the gathering held in it, and visiting or hosting a dewaniya is an indispensable feature of a Kuwaiti man’s social life.

Dewaniya became a fundamental part of Kuwaiti life. Hence, it has become a mark in their traditional daily life.

Today I came across that post on http://theerrantaesthete.com/ and I felt a vibrant emotion about that picture. I've seen that type of interior in Egypt especially, where old aristocracies was totally deprived of their belongings and properties by a government overthrown.

Cuba or Cairo, many glorious countries suffered deeply in their beauty and pride. We shall never forget that a safe today is fragile enough to appreciate our bounty.

The work of photographer Michael Eastman rarely shows human subjects. Absent from the photos themselves, the person in Eastman’s work becomes the viewer whose imagination takes them through the empty door, up a spiral stair, or into a room where the story of a life can hang from a clothesline beneath a baroque chandelier.

His images from his Cuba series present a past, now frayed at the edges, but unlike America, not cast away or abandoned, but captured in the here and now, frozen in time. From the photographer’s perspective, the present now co-exists in the degraded splendor of an aristocratic, colonial past. Castro’s Havana has neither the interest or the resources to eradicate what the revolution rejected. Were it for us such places would be restored, gentrified perhaps. But then the very people whose lives hang from the clothesline beneath the baroque chandelier of Isabella’s Two Chairs would once again be invited to enter such spaces only by invitation.

John Keats once wrote “beauty is truth, truth beauty. That is all ye know on Earth and all ye need to know.” Which is why Eastman’s image of a fadingly corroded beauty infused with a narrative that speaks of romantic decay and genteel decline is This Day’s Notable Aesthetic. Beg to differ?

I had a little break in the french Alps mountains with family and friends , I was invited by adorable friend who built their own little "ameau' few meters away from the forest with a ski piste ending right in front of the kitchen door .

Marc is a very successful business man who decided not only to build his house in wood but buy the factory in Ester europe to spread luxurious wooden houses all over europe .

Marie Annique his wife , a told blond pretty lady help for the interior and here you have a very great cocktail of beauty simplicity and warmness .

the chalet is provided with all technology possible , leather electrical wiring accessories , spa , swimming pool and the most amazing bathtub I ever saw in my life carved in a huge rock . when I visited it kids were playing in there so for privacy reason I will not post the pictures .

I was away for sometime in my French mountains , than voila ! I’m back and presenting you some of our product during the end of this year …. Since europe is going more ecco , simple , recycled , meddle east still more luxurious as ever , this morning I was driving around going to ours show rooms at deferent locations and I have been amazed by the sizes and the exterior sign of wealth this country is exhibiting among the streets , as if each villa is a government project as landmark , the competition between neighbors is of limits . I’m wandering if they still have enough money to buy furniture J . any way beside that fact that sometime it is a bit out of proportions and tricky complicated detailed architecture , the architects skills are fully used for their good .
